The city of Big Bear apparently requires every other home to have giant bears carved out of logs displayed prominently in their front yards. Said bear must be adorned with 1) a fish, 2) a lantern, or 3) the favorite craft or hobby of the respective house. (If you care to see the bigger image simply click on it...)

It's the Mother Bear! It's as big as the house! A fitting conclusion to our bear hunt; we can go home now, quite satisfied.
